Hey Wardies!

Here's some pictures of the skirt we'll be making on Saturday for the enrichment sewing group. I didn't get one made in time to show it in Relief Society, so here you go. Pass this along if you know someone who would like to make one!

You'll need 2 yards of fabric, just about any type of fabric will work. This will be enough to make a calf-length skirt or just below the knee length and a tie.
Thread to match
About 1 1/2 to 2 yards of ribbon or lace if you want to put around the bottom.
1 pkg. 1/2 inch elastic
This skirt is SO easy to alter for sizes, shapes and lengths!

Saturday, Feb. 28th 11:00 am at the church
Please let me know if you're coming so I can have a pattern ready for you! Thanks :)

Redesigning Your Blog Help

I've been getting a few people asking how to change the background on their blogs and whatnot. So here's the blog that I got from a friend where I learned how to do it. It's pretty easy to follow and she has alot of tips and stuff on there.

Just a General Update

This is what we wish we could be doing more of recently...

Nothing TOO exciting has been happening lately. We are getting kind of tired of the snow/rain and getting ready for spring.

School has been keeping us pretty busy. I decided that I had it really easy as far as work goes in past semesters. I've had a hard time adjusting to actually have to BE at work, working ALL the time. I know I just need to buck up and deal with it, but man! I miss not having ANY time to do laundry or dishes. Okay, done whining.

On the interesting side of things; we got an email from our landlord this week asking us if we liked the idea of making our current one-bedroom apartment into a two-bedroom! All we would have to do is cut out a doorway in one of the existing walls in our kitchen that would lead to another bedroom and possibly a third, depending on what our landlord decides to do. Thinking about future plans, we thought we would have to start looking for bigger place within the next year or so, now we wouldn't have to move at all! Hopefully, our landlord will really follow through with this because we've loved living here!

We made it back from another trip to Idaho, this time to take care of car registration. Much cheaper there than here! I kind of feel like we're taking advantage of the system, but I guess if we're going to end up in Idaho in a few years, it makes sense to just register our cars there in the first place.

We also get to go down to Kaysville next weekend to go to the Davis High production of Lover's Feast. It is an amazing middle-ages/renaissance 9 course dinner complete with sawdust on the floor and entertainment. It's put on by the choirs and my sister was in it last year and this year my brother is. So we're looking forward to that, and the three-day weekend!

Does anyone have any good suggestions for books to read? I've been wanting to read a really good book lately that doesn't take too much brain power after reading textbooks and one that the ending isn't predictable from the first page. Ideas?

Cars Anyone?

So if you read our last post you would have read that our little junker car didn't start. Well, she still won't start.

So... we are now looking for one of these:Honda Civic/Accord

Or... one of these: Toyota Camry/Corolla

Preferably with less than: 100,000 miles
Any year will do!

Anyone know of a used car for sale?

Well we made it..... through the first two weeks....

Man it is going to be one long, busy semester! We can't complain too much though because we've been pretty blessed these last few weeks.

For starters, I was able to get an Undergraduate Teaching Fellow position, that I totally wasn't expecting, for a microbiology class. It pays very well for only having to work a few hours a week and it will be great for applications and resumes! Just cross your fingers that I can remember everything I was SUPPOSED to learn in that class. :)

Chase's classes are going to be a little easier than past semesters 'cuz he's already done a lot of what they're doing in his classes at work. Therefore he won't have to spend as much time on homework so he can spend more time with me! He's also had his new laptop added as an extra appendage. I'm so glad that he's liked it so much. This is what he's looked like with it since Christmas.

I actually LOVE my classes! This has not happened for a looong time. Switching majors was most definitely the right thing to do.

Me and my sister have been going to the field house three times a week to hopefully get in better shape. Haha. This has been quite the adventure. We've also been going to Water Aerobics every Monday and Wednesday night at the HPER. Everyone should come, it's alot of fun!

One of the not-so-good things that happened is that our cute, old, junky car won't start. She was running fine before we left town for Christmas and she hasn't started since we got back. Anyone have any ideas? We're not mechanics by any stretch of the imagination!
