Happenings
Really not much going on around here. Both baby-wise and other-wise. This little girl is nice and comfy where's she at. So she probably won't be here until next week when we can finally schedule an induction. (Bummer.)
Spring is trying to come...as least we wish it was! It's been pretty rainy and gloomy for the past little while. But one of these days the sun should come out. I made a spring ribbon wreath to put on the door to try and defy winter, so far it hasn't worked, but it makes me smile when I come home after work.
Work has been good, tiring, but at least there's something to keep me occupied!
Chase took me to the park Saturday night to swing hoping that would coax baby into getting here. It didn't work, but it was fun to get out and swing!
Chase has been keeping busy with school, work and bishopric stuff.
Conference is coming! Conference weekends are some of my favorite parts of the year. We probably won't make it to Grandma's house with a brand-spanking new baby, but we're still excited for it.
I feel a little silly but one of the things I am most excited for this spring is to wear happy normal clothes again. I see all the new spring clothes out and it makes me giddy to know I can wear them soon! I'm grateful for the hand-me down maternity clothes I've gotten, but somewhere someone must have decided that black was the color to wear all the time while being pregnant. Most of the maternity clothes I have or see in the stores are all really dark colors! Maybe it's just me...
That's pretty much it. Hopefully the next post will have a baby in it! :)

Saturday's Warrior

I was sitting here thinking about what we could do while we were just waiting.... waiting... and waiting.
And all of a sudden the "Will I Wait for You?" song from Saturday's Warrior popped into my head. (Yes, the show it just a tad bit cheesy, or alot, but the songs are actually quite catchy.)
Here's some of the lyrics:
"I've stood here through it all
Through short and fat and tall
Through thick and thin and rain and snow and ice."
(Literally. Have you seen Logan winters?)
"After all I've said and all I've done
To prove my love is true
And now you ask if I'll wait for you?"
Yes, I will wait. But not very patiently. So there.

People Say the Darndest Things

Generally all people are nice and mean the best. Some just don't realize that what comes out of their mouth sounds not-so-nice. These have all been said to me in the last few days and they make me laugh. The words in italics are what I was thinking, not what I actually said. I'm not typically that sarcastic. :)
Co-worker:
"Does it just scare you to death that it's inevitable that one day you're whole body is just going to be torn apart?!"
Well I wasn't until you said that.
"Don't you just feel like a grenade with the pin pulled out right now? You could explode anytime!"
Yes, yes I could.
Other co-worker:
"Yeah my epidural didn't work at all. I could feel the doctor stitching me up after. Good luck with that."
Oh thanks.
Another co-worker:
"Amy, watching you walk makes me eternally grateful that I was born a man."
So glad that I could help you appreciate that fact.
Cashier at Joann's:
"So when are you due?"
"What are you having?"
"You seriously look like you could pop! Have a nice day!"
Thanks, you too! :S
And this is my favorite:
Crazy Lady at the copy store:
"So when are you due?"
"What are you having?"
"Why does everyone want to find out what they're having these days?! Doesn't anyone want the surprise in the delivery room anymore?!!!!"
Ummm....we don't.
"Do you have a name?"
Kind of.
"Well what are some of the ones you like?"
Kyrie, Lauren, Marissa, Rachel... yeah.
"Hmm Kyrie is interesting, you can't name her Marissa though. Marissa is a dark baby name and your baby is going to be blond."
Umm okay.
"I have a nephew that I have no idea what his name is so I call him Canoe."
And that has anything to do with us becuase....?
"Lauren is a good name."
We're so glad you think so since we're taking a poll from complete strangers off the street about what we should name our baby.

Ticker
I'm not a fan of pregnancy tickers, usually. But I was thinking since we're in the final stretch (YES!) this ticker won't be just blinking there, taunting me and letting me know that I still have four months left to go.
So now we're into the final weeks I thought it might be fun. And this one has cute little footprints instead of the alien baby floating around in a "tummy".
Now just watch, I'll probably check the blog a million times a day just to watch it count down. :)
