Naughty or Nice?

Seriously, the last month or so our truck has been the most naughty, annoying thing ever. Just a few weeks ago we took it in for a regular oil change only to find out that both the front and the rear differentials were leaking. So... we take it in to get fixed. While there, we find out that there's water in the oil, which I guess isn't good, so we had to get the whole oil line drained and refilled. And then... the power steering started to squeal... so we had to get that looked at.

So then... we got to bring it home and it was driving so nicely!

But then...it stranded Chase at work by refusing to start! So we borrowed a friend's car from his work and towed it home until we had time to really look at it and figure out what was going on. At first, we thought it was the fuel filter, but after talking to several people about it, we thought it might be the fuel pump. So we decided to take it back to the shop to get fixed...again.

So there we are, five of us, trying to push our little green truck into the parking lot to turn it around so it could be towed. It wouldn't budge. We aren't that weak okay. The back left tire kept locking up and would slide instead of roll. Not good.

The towing guy showed up and broke the tire loose so it would roll and towed it away on a big trailer to the shop.

And then... we waited. And then we got the call. Not only did we need a completely new fuel pump, the whole left side of the brake system was shot and needed to be rebuilt entirely. Ew. Apparently, the emergency brake had somehow broken and clamped itself tightly around the wheel allowing us to unknowingly drive our truck around with the emergency brake on for who knows how long!

So the good thing with all of this is that I feel really auto-savvy after hearing all these people talk about these different car things. I guess that could be a good thing right? And thank heaven that we have a reliable car now so we weren't completely out of commission for two weeks while this whole thing happened!

Now... will our truck continue to be naughty, or will it be nice?
