We've had fun the last few days with Chase's family here for the 4th. (Really I think they came hoping I'd go into labor on my own while they were here. ;))
We were pretty low-key which was nice. Cal made yummy smoked ribs and chicken then we got some pop-its and sparklers out for Lauren. She loved the pop-its and thought the sparklers were okay.
After we put her to bed and then camped out on our driveway so we could see all the fireworks around the neighborhood and the neighboring city. I caught Lauren peeking out her window through the blinds so she could see...so we let her outside to watch with us. She was quite impressed with them even though they were, "lou!" (loud)
Wednesday night we were at my sister's celebrating her birthday and Lauren fell off the swing. Which is very unusual; she's always so careful to hold on tight and pay attention. Anyway, she fell and crunched her chin which chipped her top four teeth and bruised the bottom ones pretty good. Thankfully they're not chipped that bad and we didn't have to make any emergency trips to the dentist since none of them were loose and still straight. I figure we might wait until she's a little older and then have them ground down a bit.
The other day Lauren found some of Chase's exercise bands and thought it was hilarious to put them on our heads and then take pictures. That's how we roll around here for entertainment!
