Halloween in preschool is a blast! Lauren's class went to the Halloweiner Roast and rode the train, played in the fun houses, ate treats and went on a hayride. Gavin quite enjoyed himself as well, even though he wouldn't look at me for a picture.

Bikes!
Bikes seemed to be shrinking lately...either that, or the kids were growing. Lauren had worn her little one right out. Thanks to a $6 DI bike, spray paint and princess stickers Lauren is thrilled with her bigger one!

New Addition
We're excited to add another BOY to our family in March!
To be honest, we're quite surprised. Chase and Lauren were both convinced this baby was a girl! Can't say I had a preference either way but I was just as surprised!
We had a talk with Lauren tonight and she hesitantly admitted that having another baby brother would be okay. Although she wouldn't let him sleep in her room! Hehe Gavin is completely clueless and gives no sign that he knows about any baby. :)
I'm feeling pretty good these days, usually only nauseous in the morning. The first trimester was pretty rough but thank goodness the major pukiness only lasted until 16 weeks.
Everyone I've talked to says going from 2 kids to 3 was their hardest transition.... makes me a little nervous but at least Lauren can help right?!

Life Lately
For the most part, we've been taking it easy with Lauren being back in school. We've been to the park a few times, taking naps, playing with Millie and that's about it!
We moved him to his "real big boy bed" a few nights ago. Thankfully he's done great at night and with naps. It does help that he can't open doors yet, phew. :)
I had a birthday, and we finally bought trees so someday we'll have shade. I'm quite excited about them! Chase, family, and friends thoroughly spoiled me. It was a great birthday!
Dirty Dash 2015
The Dirty Dash this year was a blast! Not that I actually ran it...but being in Park City with good friends was just what I needed! I figured running on my still-healing-foot wasn't the best idea, so Ambree, Alyse and I held the clean towels for everyone at the end. :)
Sewing Projects
I've been working on a few projects lately. It's been fun to use some new fabric from my mother-in-law's stash, I was getting pretty tired of all my stuff! I've been trying really hard not to buy anymore fabric and use up my stash, the influx of new fabric has been great!
Matching Christmas stockings has been on my list for awhile and I finally found fabric and a pattern I liked!

For the last year or so I've been working on several different quilt tops for my aunt. Three of them were for her kids using all their old t-shirts, one a scrap picnic quilt, and a kind sized pieced quilt. For the most part, they were fun to work on...but it's even more fun to look at them now they're done. (I still need to quilt the king quilt, but the hardest part is done!)
Our ward was doing a humanitarian project putting together bags for babies going in to foster care. I was able to sew eight of the bags and some burp cloths, then got to help some of the Activity Day girls in the ward make some bibs and burp cloths. It was great since it used up so much of my flannel stash!
The most recent has been Lauren's "white princess" Halloween costume, which she later deemed her "Odette" dress. This is the beginnings of it... hopefully she'll be happy with it! Those sleeves were a bugger!
Next projects on the list:
Gavin's dinosaur costume
Get the king sized quilt finished!
Piece a quilt for Gavin's big boy bed
Tie a flannel quilt for Gavin's bed
Bean bag chairs for Christmas

MIA
Lauren had her second first day of preschool last week. I managed to get a fake smile before heading out. She was so impatient to get there she didn't hold still for more than 3 seconds all morning. I'm glad she's so excited for school. 2 days a week just might not be enough!
Chase's company footed the bill for all employees to go to Lagoon a few weeks ago so he took Lauren for a daddy-daughter date. She went on a ton of rides and was so brave! I'm glad they had a fun day together.
Other than some sewing projects I'm working on its been a relatively quiet few weeks. Lazy Sundays watching shows with Daddy included!
