Thursday Thoughts (On the Right Day)

Found an apartment already! Having found one so quick for just a tad cheaper than where we are now (that is just as nice!) makes me much happier about moving. There are even a few couples from the ward, so it will be nice to finally have neighbors that will talk to us! I guess this whole ordeal was meant to happen; the last time we looked for an apartment it took a few months.

Frustrated with the salesmen at work. Every time a customer has a problem or a question, it's my fault. Which it isn't 95% of the time. Oh well.

Lauren has been so fun! She's grabbing onto toys and kicking everywhere. The other morning I found her turned a complete 180 and scrunched in the corner of the crib. For one that supposedly doesn't move she sure gets around!

Pretty sure if Bishop Reed opened up a dairy in Logan just our friends and family could keep it in business with all the chocolate milk we drink.

Found a fun pattern for cloth beach balls. Great way to use scraps and then you fill them with grocery bags so they crinkle! Can't get much cheaper than that.

Everyone living in Utah should always care two sets of clothes. One for 80 degree summer weather and one for freezing cold rain. Guaranteed you'll experience both in the same day!

Is there a good way to peel vinyl off the wall and keep it so you can reuse it?

A Vent

We're moving. I'm sad. The thought of packing again to move to ANOTHER apartment in a few weeks is overwhelming. The next time we moved I thought it would be into a house. This place feels like home; we've made it ours. I guess two years is too long for us to stay in one place for now.

Yesterday, our manager came to our door with a letter stating that our AMAZING deal through Chase's work was being drastically reduced therefore making us need to move. :(

Aw well. At least we're pro packers by now. :(

Goodbye Apt #4, Hello Apt #5!

Love a Good Deal

This one is for you Ambree...you would be proud. :)

What is the best shopping deal you've ever had?

Here's mine:
Went shopping with my mother-in-law to pick up a few things for Lauren since she's growing like a weed and currently doesn't have too many clothes that fit. We went to JCPenny since she had a $10 coupon. We picked out a little outfit and took it to the register and the cashier gave us a better coupon for $15 off at least a $15 purchase. Then my m.i.l. had the great idea to ask if we could use the coupon multiple times with different transactions. They said yes! So we proceeded to buy over $600 worth of stuff and only paid about $50!

We went back later that night to keep going. We figured this would be great to get Christmas and birthdays and what-not all taken care of. Come to find out, we weren't supposed to get that great deal and the cashiers weren't allowed to do that for us even though they checked with a manager! We just happened upon the right cashiers at the right time. Seems like there is a major communication lapse among the cashiers there. So if anyone wants to try it, let me know if it works for you! (You do have to sign up for their card though.)

Five Years

Here's the eight of us as Seniors in high school.

And us again about to graduate right before Senior Cotillion. Sorry Katelyn, I don't know where you were!

A two-year ish reunion before Lauren and Katelyn left on missions.

Mandy's wedding. Some of us were missing.

And all of us five years to the month after graduating with 3 husbands, 2 missions, and 1 baby later.

Nobody thought we would stay friends. Well we proved them wrong! :)

Thursday Thoughts but on Wednesday Instead

Even though I am tired, I enjoy going into work at 6 knowing that my baby and hubby are at home asleep. I am completely alone for a few hours in the morning with the quiet, empty lab all to myself. I read a few blogs, read a few talks, and listen to some music while I wait for my tests to run.

Lauren is such a good sleeper! Eight hours the other night and seven last night.

Chase FINALLY witnessed a huge blowout and got to clean it up. Hee hee. :)

Laundry is my least favorite chore. As soon as it's all washed, dried, and folded there's more to wash in the hamper. It's never done!

Being married to a computer nerd has it's advantages. :) Chase set up a media server connected to our TV so now we can watch all our internet shows on the TV and he found all my favorite shows like Arthur, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeanie, and Bewitched. Awesome!

I decided to make the Ticker Tape Quilt. All the pieces are cut out, now I just need to actually sit down and sew them on the quilt top but I ran out of pins.

Does anyone have good workouts you can do at home? I seriously need some more exercise. Daily walks just aren't cutting it.

Lauren was so talkative last night. We had a conversation for about half an hour where she laughed and talked up a storm. Really wish I knew what she was saying.

Chase goes back to school next week. Boo! Chase graduates in December! Yay!

There are a million people pregnant in the ward right now. So glad I'm NOT!

Get to play with my nephews today. They make me smile. Last time when Michael came he went to wash his hands in the bathroom. He couldn't reach so he grabbed our scale thinking it was a stool. He stepped onto it and realized he still couldn't reach and told me our stool was broken. :)

Happy Wednesday!

Weirdo

I've been looking for a project for awhile now. I finally found one that I THINK I want to do. This cute Ticker Tape quilt:

But I have a problem. Even though I have oodles of scraps and big pieces of fabric to use, I'm scared to use them. Cutting into a big piece of fabric is a big commitment and what if I make with it doesn't turn out how I want it to. What if I find a cuter idea down the road that would have worked better? See why it's taken me awhile to find a sewing project? I'm a weirdo and can't commit to using fabric on something I might not like. Being the cheapskate that I am I don't want to "need" to go get more fabric. Fabric is expensive! Stupid thing to have a problem with I know. :)

My Little Sister is Married!

Yay! They're married. The wedding on Saturday was really fun. It was busy couple of days but fun. We're glad to have Kyle as part of the family. It was funny when Heidi first introduced us because I already knew him! But for the life of me I could NOT figure out how I knew him already. We did eventually figure it out!

It's weird that my LITTLE sister is married. She's not so little anymore. But she will always be the one I shared a room with, played dolls with, and held late night fashion shows with. :)

My awesome sister-in-law was their photographer and she did an amazing job. You should check out her website here!
