Ah just waking up.


Grr I don't like getting dressed.


But I'll grin anyway.


And even chuckle.


Time to fill my diaper now that you just changed it.


That's better. Time to go back to sleep!

Thursday

Thursdays are my favorite day of the week. Why? Because there is the anticipation of tomorrow being Friday and Friday's are just great. I like looking forward to things.

I feel like we've finally settled into a routine around here. Kind of. Never knew how schedule oriented I was until Lauren came. Babies aren't too good with keeping a schedule. :) But at least I can expect that now.

Work has actually been okay. Monday was horrible but we've figured out a way that either me or Chase can be with her so we only have people to watch her for two half-days of the week. I feel MUCH better about that. Chase gets her in the mornings for some daddy-daughter bonding time and I get her the rest of the day. It's going to work out.

Went to the doctor today. No more scheduled doctor visits for me! Yay!

Lauren has been the greatest baby ever. She is periodically sleeping for 7 hour intervals at night. :)And oh it's been nice! She's really starting to smile and talk to us lately and it's so funny to see all of her facial expressions. We can definitely tell when she's not happy just by her mad-face.

With all my years of babysitting I have never experienced the kind of diaper blow-outs that Lauren has. I don't know how he does it, but Chase misses them every single time! Aw well. He gets all the major baby throw-up! I swear she's wearing diapers that fit. I tried her in a size two and they just about fell off her.

It's been fun to play with my nephews and see them with their new baby brother and Lauren. They like to give her hugs and tell me that "She's cute!" Thomas will whisper and tell me that "Baby Wawen is sleeeping!" and then yell "Baby Dallin is AWAKE!" Oh they make me laugh.

Finally got around to planting my flowers. At least it kind of looks like spring amongst all the rain.

This Stinks

Back to work today. And it majorly stinks. I feel like an awful mom.

A Thought

I wish I was more eloquent with writing so I could express some of the things I think about. I know that there are others out there who are not mothers yet and are not able to be mothers biologically here on earth. All I know is that it is possible to be a mother without having your own kids. Having Lauren has made me feel like it is possible to become like our Heavenly Father and she will help me get there by bringing in a different light my weaknesses and strengths that I didn't realize I had until now. Kids have a way of helping you understand who you are deep down. Am I really charitable? Loving? Unselfish? Kind? These are the traits of a perfected mother. How much more strong are those that can find their weaknesses and strengths without the aid of their own children to help them become perfect?

Just a thought, I hope it expresses what I meant it to without offending anyone, mother or otherwise.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Today is our 4 year anniversary. Crazy! It's been a great four years with many, many more to come.

This year I am more grateful for Chase and our anniversary has more significance. With some recent events that we've heard about I realize even more how delicate a marriage can be. It needs to be well taken care of.

I'm so grateful that Chase takes the time to take care of us even with everything else he has on his plate.

Blessing Day

We blessed Lauren yesterday and it was a great day! We had lots of friends and family there to support us and Lauren was an angel (she slept through her whole party!) Chase gave her a beautiful blessing.

One Month

We just think she's really cute so we have to show her off! :)
