Camping
My sister and brother-in-law invited us to go camping this weekend with them and we had a blast! Between playing in the water, riding four wheelers and playing with my nephews, we had a great time. :)

Rain

The rain this summer has been pretty interesting. I've never seen it rain like this before. And we actually kind of like it. It's allowed some great picture taking opportunities, we don't have to worry about watering our tomato plants and they're growing like crazy, and we don't have to turn on the air conditioner. But one of the funnest things was playing softball last night with my work team in a downpour.
Apparently the City League doesn't cancel a game when lightning and downpours occur!(yeah holding a metal bat in the middle of a big field, usually not the smartest idea) It made for one soggy game but it was really fun! Chase was a good sport and sat in the rain through the whole thing. :)

Sunshine after the Rain
There are some good things that come along with rain. This is one of them. :) We went out in search of some pictures to take with our new lens (we gave in) and we were delighted with the brightest rainbow we have ever seen in our lives! No photo-shopping here, we promise! We were able to catch both ends of the rainbow at both ends of town. It was pretty neat. :)

Memorial Day
We were able to go with my family on Memorial Day up to North Fork and cook breakfast. It's been a tradition for awhile that my grandma, aunts and uncles, and cousins come to make breakfast with us in the canyon. Dutch oven breakfast has to be one of the best things in the world.
My grandpa let us use his zoom lens while we were there. BAD idea. Now we want one. But it helps take really great pictures!
We played a rousing game of cricket/softball. Really we were just trying to see how far we could hit the ball. It was pretty fun. :)
