Growing up and into adulthood, I had a terribly irrational fear of going to the doctor. Pregnancy fixed that problem. I was mildly terrified of the dentist, but got over that...I thought.
Today we went back to the dentist for our regular cleanings and we had an interesting conundrum going on: Lauren was scared to go and I was trying to convince her there was nothing to be scared about. Lauren might have been scared but I was bordering on serious anxiety after my last dental experience. Chase called it PTSD.
I told Lauren I would be there to hold her hand. I wish my mommy was there to hold MY hand. But both of us were brave and left the dentist feeling much relieved with no sliced tongues, stitches or cavities! Now I just wish I got to pick a prize out of the treasure box too!

We Love Cousins!
This last week Lauren had a "sleepover party" with a little cousin that we don't get to see as often anymore. She was royally spoiled and had such a great time meeting princesses! Aunt Sydney got her all dolled up and fixed her hair just like a princess. Smart girl, she didn't want her picture taken with the Joker since he was a bad guy. :)

Opening Day: Swim Season
Lauren has outgrown our little plastic pool. Sam's had an awesome bigger one. Two days of use and it's already paid for itself! It was a hit! For Lauren at least. Gavin played with the hose and watered the lawn. :)
And my "little" brother made it home! Crazy that two years seemed like forever, but now that he's back, it's almost like he never left. Silly us we didn't take a picture of him, just of his sign. ;P

A Smattering of Pictures
I love it when Lauren and Gavin play together; lately they like to snuggle and they just giggle and laugh. A week or so ago, the primary had a missionary activity where returned missionaries from the ward presented about the places they went. Lauren thought it was pretty neat! Gavin and Grandma are quite the buds and had lots of fun at the park.

I've Been Benched
Chase is really getting good at this wood-working stuff. He made a bench for the front porch for me for mother's day and I think it turned out awesome!
Preschool Graduation
Lauren graduated from preschool on Thursday! We're proud of her and how well she did. When I originally signed her up I was a little nervous as to how it would go, but she has done wonderful despite being the youngest in the class! It's going to be a long summer without her "school days" she looks forward to.
